Old School NASCAR

After a LONG absence, we here at The Lodge are back!
What can I say, there hasn't been much to talk about lately. The racing has been BORING.
But today,...WOW.
Who would've thought that in this day and age in the homogenized version of the sport we all love that has been ruled and regulated to DEATH we'd actually have an exciting, old-school race ending.
I LOVED it.
Boo-hoo Junior fans. Here's a red #8 hankey for your tears.
Your boy tried to block his way to a victory but when you have two cars working together behind your ass...I don't care WHO you are, you're gunna lose.
Or wreck.
And let's face it, team mates are nice but if you have a chance to get your first win against a team mate who's not even going to BE your team mate next year....you HAVE to go for it.
If it was a middle finger in the face of Rick Hendrick...so be it.
Don't get me wrong...I don't think Brian Vickers has lived up to his potential; I completely understand why he won't be in that ride next year but I also think that Rick and company have treated him like shit. I hate it that his first Cup win will be deemed controversial.
CONTROVERSIAL!?!?!
How about EXCITING?!?!
How many watered down, over officialized races can you stand???
I can't stomach the vanilla-bean racing that Brian France Jr has forced us to watch every Sunday. It's boring bullshit. Way too PC for a sport that was started by competitive bootleggers.

Way to go #25 team!
Somewhere up there, the drivers from the past are smiling and toasting you with moonshine!
